Stephen E Garner Day of Caring September 21, 2012

On Friday September 21, 2012  the Stephen E. Garner Day of Caring provided 150 boxes of food products, or 12,000 pounds of food, to the Food Distribution Network of Tompkins County. Without the tireless efforts of the United Way organizers and volunteers we would not be able to reach our neighbors in need during these challenging times. Please accept our heartfelt appreciation and gratitude.

Who We Are

The Food Distribution Network (FDN) has been providing food in Tompkins County New York for over 20 years. Over 500 volunteers help to distribute over 2 million pounds of supplies and food each year for those who need it most in our communities.

Residents of Tompkins County are eligible to receive food if they are facing challenges in providing enough food for themselves or their families.  The FDN goal is to have people using food pantry services feel welcomed, safe, respected and part of a community.
